If you’re anything like me you’re probably looking for a little distraction from the Corvid-19 Live updates.
My favourite way to cope with this madness is by practicing a little Calligraphy EVERY day. Whether it’s Dip Pen & Ink, Brush tip, Faux & even Digital on my handy dandy iPad using the procreate app, Calligraphy has been the one constant; the thing that I can rely on to be there for me every day to help me de-stress.
Today I have included ways to help you do that too. Pictured below are examples of calligraphy “drills”.
Drills are a fantastic & fun way to get you warmed up for a calligraphy practice. Plus they help you gain hand control, & help you master certain strokes with your dip pen.

You can download FREE Dip Pen & Ink Easter Egg Drills HERE & HERE.
To use the downloads, follow the instructions at the top of each sheet. Complete the download “Easter Egg Drills” first, & then try it on your own with the “Create Your Own”.
After the ink has dried well (give it an hour to be sure), you can “colour in” your Easter Eggs by using a little chalk or “pan” pastel applied with a Q-tip (as seen in the picture above). Or you can simply leave “as is” with just the black ink on the white paper. They really look stunning. AND, they’re much easier to create than one would think!
If you need a little “hand-holding” to help you along the way, see the Video Tutorial upload in our Facebook Community: Calming Calligraphy under “Videos”.
Please stay safe & have a wonderful Easter Weekend!
